A special thank you to Marg & Mark Rawlings for bringing the cattle - your dedication to the breed is evident!

A HUGE Thankyou to all the wonderful helpers at this year's AGFEST. It was an exhausting 4 days (1 day set up & 3 official days). The amount of interest we had for our beloved breed was I think the most we have had in years. I noticed the difference from "What are Dexters?!" to "We are wanting to get some cattle and we think that Dexters might be what we want...."
A special thank you to Marg & Mark Rawlings for bringing the cattle - your dedication to the breed is evident! Andrea O'Grady

As you are all well aware we have fantastic coffee mugs & "Dexter Red" (2008 Shiraz) for sale. We are not allowed to sell any items at our Agfest Stall but we are allowed to have people collect from there. So it anyone wants to prepay for any items we can make sure they will be at Agfest for you!
Contact any one from the committee for orders. Andrea Hi All
Exciting times at Preston Park Dexters. On Friday the 13th April(lucky for some) we welcomed our new dexters to their new home. Rawlings Gemma, Gezzabelle, Golly Miss Molly and a steer are now settled in. On Monday the 16th Rawlings Echo The Beat and Fantasia arrived. Fantasia has settled quickly but Echo is still marching the fence line calling to her mates across the road. I would also like to congratulate the group on the running of the stall at the Taste of the North West last weekend. I'm very excited about being involved in such great Dexter group, Regards Ian Clayton Preston Park Dexters A huge thank you to all who helped at the Taste today. We sold out by 1.30pm (the day didn't officially start until 11am) and made a profit of over $860!!!
Marg & Mark, Julie & Ron, Catherine, Peter, Ian, Ken, Michael, Sarah - THANK YOU. It just goes to show that many hands make light work. The work was split into setting up and preparing, cooking, reheating, assembling, serving, taking money & talking Dexters with the public. It was lovely to see some of our newer members getting involved. Andrea We have produced an article on this which will be in the next newsletter. If you don't receive this please go to our website www.dexterhousecows.com.au under the heading what's happening/articles. I have just put the finishing touches on our new promotional brochure. It looks extremely professional and I hope useful to the members that have advertised as a tool to promote our Dexters. The brochure will hopefully be ready in time for the Taste of the NW, but definitely in time for Agfest. So make sure you grab one. Otherwise you can email our Secretary swnygwynt[email protected] to request a copy be sent out to you or open the link below. Marg Rawlings Promotions Officer
We have been accepted again to hold a stall at this year's Taste of the North West, Sheffield, Saturday 14th April. The Dexter beef sausages have been such a success we have decided to do them again along with Roast Beef & Gravy rolls. Anyone able to help in any way please contact one of the committee members. If you can't make it please spread the word & get all your friends and family to eat us out!!
